Bolivia mobile number portability delayed until end of 2017

07 Dec

Mobile number portability (MNP) will finally be implemented in Bolivia in November 2017, according to a government decree published last week and reported in local daily El Deber. The system, which will allow the country’s 10 million mobile phone users to change operator while keeping the same number, was first proposed back in 2012. The country’s telecommunications regulator ATT recently announced that four companies were in the running to manage the portability database: Systor International, Ictec-Mediafon Datapro, Comtec and Porting Access.
